Get HTML Code for Custom Web Form

To place your Web Form on an external site, you will need to copy the HTML code for the form, and then paste that HTML code into the site you want to add the Web Form to.

1.  On the Custom Web Forms screen, click the Get HTML link for the form you want to place on an external site and you will go to the Get HTML Code for Custom Web Form screen.

2.  Put your cursor in the HTML window. Hold down the "CTRL" key and hit the "A" key on your computer keyboard to select all the content in the HTML window. Hold down the "CTRL" key and hit the "C" key on your computer keyboard to copy the selected content in the HTML window. You can then paste the HTML code for the Web Form on the site you are adding the Web Form to.

3.  To paste the Web Form HTML, make sure the HTML Editor for the site you want to put the Web Form on is in HTML mode. Put your cursor in the HTML Editor window. Hold down the "CTRL" key and hit the "V" key on your computer keyboard to paste the HTML code.

4.  Save and publish your web page, and the Web Form will appear. When the Web Form is submitted on the website, the contact will be added to the category you selected for the form.

NOTE: MAC Users should use the "Apple" Key instead of the "CTRL" Key.

If the HTML code does not work, then you can try using the HTML5 code instead. Please note, not all browsers support HTML5.

Click the Get HTML5 link on the Custom Web Forms page to get the HTML5 code, and then follow the copy and paste instructions above.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We recommend always using HTML code instead of HTML5 (where possible).
